THE WINDHAM BROTHERS ORIGINAL BEACH BOOGIE AND BLUES RADIO SHOW

March 7th, 2008

That’s right. Woody and I just got together in my studio and recorded the first hour of what will be a three hour weekly radio show available for syndication. We’ll bring back all of our old characters like Beach Billy, RD Neck, Fat Man, The Weather Winer, Orville and Wilbur Carswell, Clara and Judd, and more. Of course, we’ll feature hard to find beach boogie and blues music. Remember The Breeze Radio Network? That’s what we’ll be doing. In short, we’re just going to have a little fun in the studio and make it available for free to anyone who wants to listen on my web site. www.LeoWindham.com or www.WoodyWindham.com
The first hour is already recorded and will be up on this website soon. We have had a lot of request to put our show back together and this is a beginning. If you like it, contact your local radio station and see if they would be interested in the show in syndication. If they show any interest, have them contact me. LeoWindham@gmail.com or call my office at 803-929-7617.
If this interest you at all, let me know. I’m looking for feedback.

FROM THE MOUNTAINS TO THE SEA

February 14th, 2008

I’m proud to announce that The Leo Windham Agency is now licensed to do business in South Carolina and North Carolina. We are now active members in good standing of The Greater Columbia Board of Realtors, The South Carolina Association of Realtors, The National Association of Realtors, The Haywood County Board of Realtors in NC, and The North Carolina Board of Realtors. We have also joined as a firm The Consolidated Multiple Listing Service, serving areas in and around Columbia, SC, and The Haywood County Multiple Listing Service, which serves a large area of Western North Carolina and into some of upstate South Carolina. Coming soon, the coastal area of South Carolina. It’s exciting to be able to list and sell and represent buyers FROM THE MOUNTAINS TO THE SEA. My web master, programmer, Kris Windham is in the process of redesigning our entire web site (LeoWindham.com) to offer for free the most comprehensive search for properties in these areas. Of course, we will continue to offer, for free, downloads of our Podcasts of hard to find Beach Music. FROM THE MOUNTAINS TO THE SEA——- THE LEO WINDHAM AGENCY

SPRING IS ON THE WAY

February 4th, 2008

I’ve already noticed increased activity on some of our listings here at The Leo Windham Agency. Despite all of the negative press the real estate business has been getting, spring will trigger new sales. Everyone knows it’s a buyers market, but sellers should be encouraged by the time of the season. If your home is staged properly and in good shape, there will be buyers looking, and buying. I’m encouraged. Here’s to a good spring.

Rainy Day Thoughts

December 21st, 2007

I’m sitting in my studio and office at home listening to Leo Radio on Leo Windham.com. Only a few days until Christmas and my family carries on the tradition of spending Christmas Eve at Windham’s Crossroads outside of Lamar, South Carolina. That’s right, there really is a Windham’s Crossroads and as long as I can remember, the Windham family has gathered there at Christmas Eve. Family traditions are important. It gives us a good reason to get together. My late father, Woodrow Windham, prepared the homemade eggnog, and cousins, aunts, uncles and neighbors would make it a point to stop by for a toast and a taste, or two, of the nog. My brother Jim carries on the tradition and I must say, it’s pretty good. Everyone in my family is invited, but my sister ,Mary, and her family usually don’t make it because they live in Pennsylvania. My brother, Woody, usually brings his guitar and we sing Christmas carols with the kids as we open presents. It really is a great time and we all cherish the time. My mother, Sarah, will cook the fresh ham, like she always does. By the way, she’s 87. We’ll all bring other dishes and believe me the food is great. It’s just a family tradition that we all know will end some day. But, until that day comes, I’ll be driving home for Christmas Eve. I hope you have traditions in your family that you enjoy as much as I do. Merry Christmas and Happy New year.
Leo

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

December 4th, 2007

I’m sitting in my office downtown Columbia, and just decided to go home to my studio and produce a new podcast. For those of you that download, this will feature some of my favorite Christmas Music.
I had lunch yesterday with Bob Capes. Bob is a life long realtor and semi-retired after he sold Bob Capes Realty. I certainly respect any opinions he has on todays real estate market. We both agreed that it really is a good time to buy a house. If you watch the nightly news or read any newspaper, it’ll scare you to death. In Columbia South Carolina, the real estate business is good. This is due to a large population of government employees, Ft jackson Army Base, and good number of stable industries. I’m still recruiting agents. If you know a realtor that may be interested, tell them to go to LeoWindham.com and click on the agent opportunities tab and then call me. I asked Bob Capes if he had any advice for my new business. His reply was something I already knew. Work hard and you’ll get there. I hope the holidays are great for everyone and we all look forward to next year.
